You can help
support LICS and your local community through the

boxes for 12 families per day and each box contains

jar of peanut butter on the side of your favorite
team. This year we will have a competition
between USC, Clemson, Georgia, Auburn, and of
course, Kentucky. Please bring jars of peanut
butter to the entrance of the Family Life Center
between November 4th and 24th.

Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is based
on the idea that all Christians are ministers.
The responsibility for passing on God's love is for
all Christians, not just for a chosen few. God
has given us all gifts for ministry and called us to
put those gifts to use. Stephen Ministry is a
place where people with special gifts for caring
ministry can use those gifts to bring Christ's love
to people in need. For more information,
contact Gary Goodman at 600-7739, Jeanie Sheppard at
331-5461, Sandra Carter at 957-6572, or Valli
Johnson at 808-4449.

Mission Trips for 2008
Anyone interested in
leading or planning a mission trip (domestic,

attend the upcoming November 4th meeting of the
Missions Committee. The Missions committee
will need financial information to plan for the 2008

becomes available at a later date, it will still be
considered even though it was not brought up at this
meeting. However, the budget would not be
planned with that trip as a known item.

your thing! But you love music and played
piano a little "years ago" or you were in band but
haven't picked up your instrument in years.
Then you need to consider joining our Handbell
choir! This is a special place in the music

of a small group, feel appreciated, and use those
talents you have. You'll never have to worry
about singing out of tune! Rehearsal times are
Sunday afternoons from 5:30-6:30 pm. Contact
director Susan Joyner at 359-7651 or Jack Warren at

We

people have been extremely generous, but we have
run into problems getting the donations to the
storage unit and out to the families. If you have
a truck and some time, please contact Meghan Trowbridge at
meghant@mindspring.com. We are also in
need of a swing set or outdoor play equipment
for a few families with younger children.
