Congregational Care
Mission: To be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ
We have many opportunities each day to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ – and we want to help each one find their place of service. Maybe it’s visiting someone in the hospital, joining our recently formed Stephen Ministry team, caring for a family during a time of grief or loss, or visiting with a shut-in or nursing home resident…whatever need arises. We believe that God has equipped and enabled someone – perhaps you…to meet that very need! Listed here are just a few of our Congregational Care teams.
Grief Care: A team who makes visits, sends cards, makes calls, and provides grief resources to families who have lost a loved one.
Hospital Visitation: A team who visits those who are hospitalized due to an illness, operation, etc. to provide a listening ear and pray with the individual and family members.
Home-bound/Assisted Living/Nursing Home Visitation: A team who visits and checks in on those who are unable to attend church.
Meal Care: A team who prepares meals to send to families after hospital stays and other times of need.
39 and HOLDING: The 39 and Holding Group is made up of retirees and those willing to claim they are “thirty-nine and holding” who meet on the third Tuesday of each month for a meal or a day visit to another part of South Carolina. The group provides an excellent opportunity to meet, fellowship, and learn about some helpful community resources.
