ONE HOPE Singles Ministry supports three Mission projects.

KAIROS Prison Ministry

Kairos Prison Ministries addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and children and to their families and to those who work in the prison environment. Twice a year the ONE HOPE Singles Ministry bakes cookies for the Kairos volunteers to carry into the prison to give to inmates. In God’s eyes, we all have sinned. This is a small token that shows the inmates that they are loved. Last year, in the spring and in the fall, we baked over 13,000 cookies. That’s over 1,083 dozen. We will post on the calendar when we will be baking this year.

DayBreak Crisis Pregnancy Center

Daybreak LogoDaybreak Crisis Pregnancy Center was founded in 1983 by concerned citizens from several churches in reaction to ‘Roe vs Wade,’ which legalized abortion. They offer counseling, services, and resources to anyone who think they may be pregnant in an effort to save lives and to save young women from the devastating after effects of abortion. They also have youth programs, including after school programs for middle school girls to build self esteem and give honest information about the long-term consequences of having sex outside of marriage, including pregnancy and STDs. Since 2008, the Daybreak in Columbia has saved a total of 352 babies! A new Lexington location opened just this year. They can always use volunteers in a number of different capacities. Our class participates in the baby bottle drive fundraiser twice a year and the after school program ‘No Apologies No Regrets." Mission of Hope Ministries

NOT to US – But to YOUR name Be the GLORY “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people, but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, men will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. “
2 Corinthians 9:12-13

Come and be a part of this ministry! Be the blessing to someone else. Share in the blessing from the Lord!

Mt. Horeb and Mission of Hope work closely together in many outreach ministries.  Pastor Pele leads a Bible study here on Wednesday night. We are providing Sunday School to children at Pastor Pele’s mission, who are ready to hear the word! Who will teach them if we don’t go?  Help us be the hands and feet of Jesus to these children.

What: Help us lead children’s Sunday School once a month. (Bible lesson, snacks, craft)
No special skills involved. Just Christian faith and Love.
